Object of the game:

• You will have to build your own solar-powered airplane through its solar panel. You will see how with a panel, you can easily convert the radiation coming from our Sun into electrical energy.

Part 9: Ballasted support with cover. Part 10: Aircraft support. Part 11: Bottle cap. Part 12: Ball chain. Also needed but not included: a clean plastic bottle, coins and a Phillips screwdriver.

Learning:

• The child will be able to learn concepts such as solar energy and propulsion force from the spinning of the propeller. Not only will they see that solar energy is converted into electricity by the action of the solar panels, but they will also be able to appreciate what characteristics an airplane has to glide and sustain itself in the air. Have the children come up with their hypotheses!
